Gerren Young lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan and has been professionally creating works in wood and other mediums since 2005. Flitch wood glasses frames are a culmination of 6 years of refinement in design and process to create a wood frame that encompasses the warmth and resilience of wood while maintaining a refined shape with familiar and captivating designs.

Our Process
Flitch wood frames are made using nine layers of reclaimed wood veneers pressed together to create a light and thin, yet strong and resilient material. The elegantly shaped components are riveted together using time tested Italian barrel hinges. They are then enhanced by adding torched accents which deepen and accentuate the individual character of each frame. Finally, the frames are sealed to bring out the warm natural tones of the wood, as well as provide a durable and low maintenance finish.
